Workshop for drywall contractors held in Aachen

On 20th January 2010 KRANTZ KOMPONENTEN and staff members of Knauf Gips KG welcomed 18 drywall contractors from North Rhine-Westphalia on the KRANTZ premises in Aachen.

The workshop started with the presentation of our cooling and heating systems by Mr Laudenberg. Then the drywall contractors were taken to the large hall of our R&D department where they had the opportunity to show their skills, e.g. by installing chilled ceiling systems in a test booth that had been set up especially for the workshop. This occasion was also taken to show them air flow patterns using smoke tracer. The workshop was concluded by an exchange of views between the drywall contractors and staff members of Knauf and KRANTZ KOMPONENTEN during a small buffet.

Lectures to students at KRANTZ Aachen

In close co-operation with Knauf, KRANTZ KOMPONENTEN had invited students from the Aachen University of Applied Sciences to their premises on 21st January 2010. Two main lectures were on the agenda; all of the 24 students showed a keen interest in the subjects “New applications for drywall systems”, “From fire protection to acoustics”, “State-of-the-art facility systems”, and “Chilled ceiling design and air distribution systems”. After a snack the students were taken to our state-of-the-art R&D facility which made quite an impression on them all.
