Wall slot diffusers in a shop and office building in Frankfurt/Main
For the renovation of the shop and office building located Bleichstraße No. 1 in Frankfurt/Main KRANTZ KOMPONENTEN have developed, together with engineering consultant Gerhard Schönig, Hauptstraße 28, D - 35440 Linden, a solution using linear wall slot diffusers to distribute the supply air to the spaces.
Since the building was being renovated, the diffusers had to suit the given structural circumstances. The connection spigots have been designed so as to enable the mounting of the slot diffuser profiles from the room. Further, the connection spigots have been fitted with acoustic lining so as to reduce the sound power level as well as sound transmission between two rooms.
A total of 680 wall slot diffusers of 1050 mm length have been installed in both individual and open-plan offices from mid-2003 to the beginning of 2004. Each diffuser delivers between 22 and 28 l/s (80 and 100 m³/h).
