Ruhr-Park Bochum - The largest shopping centre in Germany
126.000 m² rental area in total - this is why Ruhr-Park Bochum is Germany’s largest shopping centre. The entire space comes up to 60 pitches - occupied with 119 shops plus 7.500 parking lots for free.
The shopping centre has been enhanced and modernised continuously since the opening in 1964. A huge extension of the building has been finished in 2001.
In co-operation with architects, planning offices and building owners KRANTZ KOMPONENTEN delivered a special combination of air outlets: Swivel nozzles and sharp-edged twist outlets.
In terms of assignment it was important to combine architectural integration with air conditioning function. Design and technology have been brought in line.
45.000 to 50.000 visitors a day, approximately 16 millions customers a year, sure all of them enjoy the “comfortable indoor air condition” - especially mentioning the last hot summer weeks.
