The new MARITIM Hotel Dresden is housed in the historic 'Erlweinspeicher'

The 'Erlweinspeicher' is a historic building located in the heart of the city of Dresden, Germany. This former storage building, sited on a shore of the Elbe river between the large congress centre and the 'Landtag' (Saxon State Parliament), has been converted into a fascinating luxury hotel which is owned by the MARITIM hotel group headquartered in Bad Salzuflen, Germany.

After remaining empty for years the 90-year old building, classified as a historic building, was renovated and extended within 18 months only.

From the hotel, visitors to Dresden can reach the old town, the Dresden castle, several museums such as the 'Grünes Gewölbe', and the 'Semperoper' (Opera House) after a few minutes' walk.

Modern design and a contemporary lifestyle feature the MARITIM Hotel Dresden that was built on old foundations and opened in mid-May 2006. This place combines modernity with tradition and the refinement of luxury with trendy casualness.

What also features a modern building is a good thermal environment. This is achieved using air outlets from KRANTZ KOMPONENTEN. All of the 328 hotel rooms and suites have been fitted with broad multiplex outlets of type BF and/or adjustable induction outlets of type IN-V2.

The engineering company in charge of the HVAC system design, B.A.C. Bau- und Anlagenconsult Dr. Barleben GmbH, required a high-induction air outlet providing – unlike conventional air grilles – several possibilities of adjustment as well as a high induction effect.

To ensure that guests feel comfortable in any part of the hotel, the hotel restaurant has been equipped with induction outlets of type IN-V2 and the exclusive bar with radial outlets of type RA-N2.

For the whole building KRANTZ KOMPONENTEN has supplied a total of:
11   radial outlets, type RA-N2,
303 broad multiplex outlets, type BF with special connection box,
250 adjustable induction outlets, type IN-V2 in several designs.
