MNG Airlines Cargo, Istanbul is an international cargo-company.

MNG carry out the maintenance and painting of aircrafts. MNG Technic Inc. and MNG Airlines Inc. are members of the MNG Group. The group is active in Energy, Cargo Transportation, Tourism, Aircraft Maintenance as well as Finance and Publishing.

For the new painting hall in Istanbul, KRANTZ KOMPONENTEN (a trademark of YIT Germany GmbH) has supplied 40 air outlets, type: VA-K-DN 800 with an external diameter of 1,500 mm. These outlets are a special development, suitable for discharge heights of up to 30 m; and this during heating and cooling mode. The maximum volume flow rate for each air outlet is 2,780 l/s [10,000 m³/h].

The outlet consists of 3 components:

1. the perforated metal sheet housing as displacement outlet with the largest air portion
2. the core tube for adjusting the penetration depth, referring to the aircraft type or aircraft component
3. the annular gap for stabilizing the supply air jet and for reducing the induction of particle-charged secondary air

Depending on the type of aircraft, the optimum airflow velocity that is required at the aircraft surface for the painting process can be adjusted by means of these three components.
